Allison Chinchar, a CNN as well as HLN meteorologist for CNN and HLN. She regularly appears in CNN's HLN Weekend Express and CNN International's HLN New Day Weekend. Before becoming a part of CNN, in June of the year 2015, she had worked at numerous local radio stations which included those in Atlanta and Nashville. She's covered every aspect of hurricanes, blizzards flood events, wildfires. She received the Emmy nod for her reporting of Hurricane Dorian that hit the Bahamas in the year 2019. In April 2011 she reported on the super-tornado outbreak when 350 tornadoes struck the Southeastern United States within four days. Around 200 tornadoes happened on April 27, 2011. Her background being an ecoscientist has allowed her to cover stories concerning climate change, as well as natural disasters such as volcanoes, earthquakes and other. Chinchar holds a bachelor's degree in Science from the Department of Atmospheric Science. She graduated from The Ohio State University. She's also a part of the American Meteorological Society and Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society.
