Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a popular American following her win on American Idol's inaugural season. Not only was the win that catapulted Kelly Clarkson to fame as it also secured her a deal in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records to release a variety of albums. In the years since, she's made several studio albums, including three which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart, while her other albums barely fell short of the top spot. Her name is among the biggest artists that have sprung from The American Idol series. She tried her hand at recognition for her different musical themes and style, and often wrote songs of her own. With her distinct voice and unique ability, she was awarded high praise and numerous prizes. Most notably she has won Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award three times. In addition to her musical career, she has been featured in movies and TV shows. She also wrote the kids' novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with a number of charities.
